Aliens

This was a fun blanket to make!  

This was a gift for the 2 year old son of one of my  husband's co-workers.   I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE buying remnants!   You can get some super cute fabrics for a fraction of the price!    Anyway, I had a bit of the alien fleece and went thru my cabinet of fleece fabrics looking for colors that matched the design.    At that point, I pulled out my accuquilt cutter and got busy.   I could do about 2 layers of fleece at a time and a couple times during the cutting price, I had to pull out the tweezers and pull out all the fleece chunks that got stuck in the die.

 After all the pieces were cut, I sewed together strips and them sewed them all together.   Thanks to the cutter, all the fringe was ready to go.

I even had enough scraps to make a cute little matching pillow  :)
